Living In Kendall Park

Kendall Park is a community of about 3.8 square miles in the northwest part of South Brunswick Township, in southwestern Middlesex County. It is named for builder Herbert Kendall, who developed a planned community of about 1,500 houses between 1956 and 1961: first ranch homes between New Road and Sand Hill Road, then the Constable section south of New Road and the Greenbrook section north of Sand Hill Road. The later sections added four-bedroom ranches and colonials, and several tracts built after Kendall's are also part of the community.

Route 27, the old Lincoln Highway, runs along the northwest edge of Kendall Park, with shops and restaurants along it, and U.S. Route 1 runs along the southeast edge. Neighborhood parks include Bedford Park and Kingsley Park, and four South Brunswick elementary schools, Cambridge, Constable, Greenbrook and Brunswick Acres, are inside the community.
