The North End, or North Long Branch, runs roughly from Monmouth Beach in the north to Joline Avenue in the south, and from the Atlantic Ocean west to Troutman's Creek.
It was once called "Fishtown" and was marked "Atlanticville" on an 1873 F.W. Beers map. Many locals still call it the North End.

Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park, a 38-acre Monmouth County park at 221 Ocean Avenue, opened in 1977. Jackson Woods, a wooded city park, opened in 2018, and Ursula Plaza on Ocean Boulevard opened in 1988.

Getting Around: Joline Avenue And The Train
Joline Avenue (Route 36) forms the south edge. NJ TRANSIT's North Jersey Coast Line stops at two stations in the city: Long Branch, three blocks from the beach, and Elberon, at Lincoln Avenue and Truax Road. NJ TRANSIT local buses 831 and 837 also serve the city.

If you've decided that you are buying or selling your home, your first thought when choosing a realtor is probably "who do I know?". You want a realtor who has some kind of connection to you, in the hopes that they will, actually, look out for your best interest. I hired Dennis in the summer of 2025, to sell my house and help me into a new one. It wasn't an easy sale and my needs in a new house, were complicated at best. Dennis attacked this situation with serious energy and a critical attention to detail. My home sold pretty quickly and by October we were ready to wrap everything up. We loaded everything we owned into a truck and headed to the closing, but the best laid plans are laid to waste. There was an issue with the home I was buying, due to an error on the seller's part. What were we supposed to do now? When it became clear that we were stuck and with no place to stay, Dennis stepped in and set us up with temporary lodging near the new house. We were there for a few days while the issue was corrected. To this day whenever my son and I drive past that hotel, we wave to the "old house". I'm told that these snags are common in real estate transactions. You know what's not common? Your realtor going way out of the way to make sure you're ok at every step of the process.
