Brick has a lot of restaurants. Picking one for a night out is the hard part. I'm Dennis Mark Interdonato, REALTOR® and Lifestyle Connector with Keller Williams Realty Ocean Living, and I spend my days showing homes all over this township. These are my five picks for a date night in Brick, every one of them locally owned and every one of them checked as open on October 6, 2026.

No chains on this list. Each spot is here for what it does on the plate or what it gives you around the table: a family recipe going back decades, a cut of steak, a grill in the middle of the table, or a table by the river.

1. La Fontana, Drum Point Road

La Fontana, 375 Drum Point Road. The Durazzo family has run La Fontana since 1987, and the kitchen cooks the food of Southern Italy: Neapolitan dishes from generations of family recipes, homemade sauces and fresh seafood. Think eggplant parmesan, gnocchi, tortellini and bruschetta to start. It's open seven days a week, so it works for a Tuesday as well as a Saturday.

2. Cordi's Italian Gourmet, Prosper Way

Cordi's Italian Gourmet, 101 Prosper Way. Family-owned since 2016 and built around Italian fine dining, with fresh-cut meats and prime cuts and steaks done in house. Dinner runs Tuesday through Sunday, and it takes reservations through OpenTable, which is the move on a Friday or Saturday night. Closed Mondays.

3. Yianni's Greek Taverna, Mantoloking Road

Yianni's Greek Taverna, 645 Mantoloking Road. A Greek taverna with souvlaki, moussaka, lamb chops, grilled octopus, fresh seafood and the classic spreads. It's BYOB, so bring the bottle you've been saving. Tables can be reserved, and the kitchen takes last orders 30 minutes before closing, so plan dinner on the earlier side.

4. Ikko Steakhouse & Sushi Bar, Brick Plaza

Ikko, in the Brick Plaza shopping center on Chambers Bridge Road. Ikko has been serving hibachi and sushi since 2005. The hibachi side is the show: a chef cooks your dinner on the grill at your table. The sushi side is where the kitchen gets creative with its rolls. If you want a date with something to watch and talk about, this is the one.

5. River Rock Restaurant & Marina Bar, Route 70

River Rock Restaurant & Marina Bar, 1600 Route 70. This one is for the night you want to be outside. River Rock sits on the Manasquan River with a tiki bar, outdoor dining and its own docks, so if you have a boat you can pull right up and eat ("Dock + Dine," as they call it). There's live music indoors and out, wood-fired pizza, and a shrimp and scallops dish served in a hollowed-out pineapple. The kitchen runs until 10 p.m. every night.

Make It a Night in Brick

Brick has Windward Beach Park on the Metedeconk River and three ocean beaches, so a lot of these dinners pair well with time by the water first. If you want more places to eat, shop and spend a Saturday in Brick, my free town guide has them, page by page.
