Keyport is a small Monmouth County borough on the Raritan Bay, nicknamed the "Pearl of the Bayshore" for the oyster industry it was once known for. Its bayfront is lined with parks: Beach Park with a boat ramp and kayak rentals, Waterfront Park with a fishing pier, and Veterans, Benjamin Terry and Cedar Street parks along the water.

Downtown runs along West Front Street, one block from the bay, with shops and restaurants, and the county named Keyport an Arts, Culture and Entertainment Hub in 2016. The borough's history includes boatbuilding and the Aeromarine seaplane factory of the 1910s and 1920s. Homes mix single-family houses with townhouses, two- to four-family houses and apartment buildings.
