Loch Arbour is one of the smallest municipalities in New Jersey, a village of about 0.09 square miles of land on the Atlantic Ocean in eastern Monmouth County. It borders Allenhurst to the north, Interlaken to the west and Asbury Park to the south, with Deal Lake along its edge. The name comes from Lochaber in Scotland.

Loch Arbour split from Ocean Township in 1957, when residents who wanted to stop a plan for beachfront condominiums took the township's last stretch of oceanfront with them. It is still a village by name, governed since a 2011 vote by a three-member board of commissioners. The Village Beach, with season and daily badges, is the heart of the town, and in 1892 boxer James J. Corbett set up his training camp here before winning the world heavyweight title from John L. Sullivan.
