Seaside Park is a borough of about two thirds of a square mile on the Barnegat Peninsula in Ocean County, the narrow barrier strip between the Atlantic Ocean and Barnegat Bay. Seaside Heights borders it to the north, and Route 35 runs south from the borough to Island Beach State Park. It was incorporated in 1898 and has been spelled as one word since 1914.

The oceanfront has a boardwalk, with the borough bathhouse between N and O Streets. The bay side has its own draws: a bay beach and playground at 5th Avenue, a crabbing and fishing pier and boat launch at 14th Avenue, and a borough marina at J Street and Central Avenue. Nearly the whole borough is mapped as a flood hazard area, so the flood zone and elevation matter for every home.
