Barnegat Township is a bayside town in southern Ocean County, and its nightlife is small and local: a tavern and a pub on Main Street and a bar by the water on East Bay Avenue. Lefty's Tavern, 547 North Main Street: A neighborhood tavern on Main Street (Route 9) in Barnegat. Check its website for current hours and events.
Doyle's Pour House, 345 South Main Street: A pub on the south end of Main Street.
By the Water
Sun Harbor Seafood and Grill, 451 East Bay Avenue: A seafood restaurant on Barnegat Bay with a tiki bar for drinks and live entertainment, boat slips for dock-and-dine, and a second-floor dining room that looks out over the bay.
Plan Your Night
Hours change with the season, and bayfront places are busiest in summer, so call ahead before you make a special trip. The township's Municipal Dock on East Bay Avenue also hosts a summer concert series.
