Toms River is the Ocean County seat, and its restaurants are spread along a few busy roads: Hooper Avenue, Route 37 and the streets around downtown. I'm Dennis Mark Interdonato with Keller Williams Realty Ocean Living, and when I help buyers look at a town, where they will eat on a weeknight matters as much as the kitchen in the house. This guide sticks to places I could confirm were open when it was updated in September 2026. It is a short list on purpose, and more Toms River restaurants will be added as each one is checked.

Exploring the Culinary Delights

Much of Toms River's dining sits near the Ocean County Mall on Hooper Avenue and along Route 37. Hours change, and restaurants open and close, so call ahead before you make a special trip.

Mouthwatering Recommendations

  • Artisan's Restaurant & Brewery, 1171 Hooper Avenue: A brewpub that makes its own beer and serves Italian-leaning food, with pasta, risotto, seafood and prime steaks on the menu. It is open for lunch and dinner every day, with brunch on weekends.

Casual Dining and Social Hotspots

  • Miracle Sports Pub, 201 Route 37 West: A sports pub with the major game packages on its TVs and a menu of burgers, wings, flatbreads and pizza. It opens at 10 a.m. daily and has a package goods store.

Starting the Day Right

  • The Turning Point, Ocean County Mall, 1201 Hooper Avenue: A breakfast, brunch and lunch restaurant open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., handy before a morning of errands or house hunting.

Toms River is a big township with a lot of choice, from downtown to the neighborhoods off Hooper Avenue and Route 37. If you are thinking about buying or selling in Toms River, I'm Dennis Mark Interdonato, and I'm glad to talk through the town with you, including where your new favorite restaurant might be.
